Few hours after he dispelled rumours of his death, The Department of State Services, DSS, has released the Chief Security Officer, CSO, to former President Goodluck Jonathan, Mr. Gordon Obua.
Reports gathered from reliable security sources that Obua, who was allowed to go after a comprehensive de-briefing by operatives of the DSS, spent the Tuesday night in home with his family.
Obua, according to the security sources was released around 10pm Tuesday’s night.
The former CSO was held in the DSS facility in Abuja since July 16, 2015 amid speculations that he had passed on in detention.
Obua’s lawyer also raised the alarm that he was denied access to his doctor, lawyer and family members and also denied access to his medications for hypertension and diabetes.
