Reports reaching us this morning has it that Multiple explosions just rocked dreaded Damaturu, the Yobe State capital at Phase I near Eid Praying ground.
The explosions are coming on a day when the new Chief of Army Staff, Major General Tukur Buratai declared that he will spend his Sallah celebration in Damaturu.
According to an eyewitness who has chosen to be remain anonymous, told EOB that the praying grounds in the town are deserted.
Meanwhile,security operatives and men of the anti-bomb squad have condoned off praying grounds to prevent further attacks. We are yet to ascertain the number of deaths and casualties involved.
