Court Strikes out Ufomba's Suit Against Dr. Alex Otti

Dr. Alex Otti
The Federal High Court sitting in Umuahia this morning dismissed the suit filed by REAGAN UFOMBA challenging the candidacy of DR. ALEX OTTI as the flag bearer of APGA.

In a landmark judgment, the Court refused to yield it's stamp to affix on an attempt to foist acandidate on a Party, more so, when the aspirant himself neither purchased the Party's nomination form nor participated in the Party's primary election.

The Court maintained that the choice of a party's flag bearer is entirely a party's affair and the Court can only intervene in the case
of manifest irregularities.

In these circumstances that there was nothing contradicting the fact that DR ALEX OTTI is the candidate proposed to INEC by the leadership of APGA having emerged from the Party's duly conducted primaries, the Court Consequently declined jurisdiction to imposeanother candidate on APGA and accordingly struck out the suit.
